We have built the new portfolio website for SpencerTrace.com. With the focus being on the work, the navigation plays a key supporting role to the content.

The build of the website has been achieved through the use of a Flash and XML to drive the content. This gives Spencer Trace the control of what appears on the site and where it appears. The website randomly chooses a video to play when a user firsts visits the website and will scale the video to the full size of the browser without distorting the image.

    Easy communication at the click of a button.

    Working in collaboration with Fashion Journalism and Music Journalism staff at The University of the Creative Arts, Epsom campus, it was identified that the course would benefit from a system where notices for different cohorts of students could be easily accessed through the web, along with promotion of the course and the opportunity to display student work.

    The solution has been to create a website where announcements for all students are on the home page, followed by the six different cohorts in columns giving students access to messages that are appropriate to them. Additionally to this staff now also have access to an SMS system where students can be contacted with any last minute announcements such as timetable changes.

    For promotion of the course there is a gallery with links to student blogs and an archive of the student magazine.
